Project Home is a federal program funded under the McKinney Vento Homeless Education Act. This program is for families or unaccompanied young people who live doubled with family or friends, staying in a shelter, motel, hotel, car or trailer. Services: Provides academic stability by allowing a student to stay in the school he attended before becoming homeless. The coordinator will assist the family with transport, school materials, tutoring and holiday program opportunities. Services can be offered to any child or student who is staying elsewhere than a fixed, regular and adequate overnight residence. Project Home services students from kindergarten to 21, and those to Covington Schools. Undocumented youth have the same rights as a public education as American citizens.
