Lawrence Senior Center

30 Darrah Lane E
Lawrenceville, NJ - 08648
(609)844-7048
The Lawrence Senior Center offers a variety of activities for Lawrence seniors over the age of 60. The Office for the Elderly also provides information, assistance, and referrals to social services and provides a link between Lawrence's older people and the network of service providers for older people. The motto of the Senior Center is "Living It Up, Sharing the Joy"! Lawrence seniors are encouraged to participate in activities sponsored by Office on Aging (Live It Up!), and seize opportunities to contribute positively to their community (Share the Joy!). For example, busy Bee class citizens teach Lawrenceville School students how to knit and crochet. In turn, these students taught seniors basic, intermediate, and advanced computer skills. In the past, the Lawrence Senior Center has celebrated Black History Month and seniors have raised funds for Lawrenceville youth summer camp scholarships. Currently, seniors in the Sewing Group are passionately working on tuxedos, pillows, and blankets, collecting clothes and toiletries to give the Wings Angels a local housing program for babies and children awaiting placement in foster homes. Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ..
