The Bergen County Senior Services Division was established in 1966 under the Federal Law of the Older Americans Act. The Division of Senior Services is the main planning, coordination and funding agency for program and services for the elderly, promoting the well-being, health and independence of more than 190,000 older persons in Bergen County. As the lead agency of the Bergen County CCRA (Aging and Disability Resource Connection), the division assists seniors, persons with disabilities over the age of 18 and their caregivers to access complex long-term care, community, health and human services.
