The City of North Royalton provides services to its elderly and disabled citizens. The City contracts with Senior Transportation Connection for regular holidays and medical appointments in the community and surrounding areas for seniors and people with disabilities who are unable to travel by car. You should call 216-265-1489 to schedule shipping at least three business days in advance. Cancellations are required no later than 7:00 am The Department of Aging is open Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm for socialization, education, crafts, deck of cards, health care screening, free blood pressure tests, elderly exercises and other activities. All screening and special events are announced in the Royalton Recorder Senior Scene column. The Aging Office and Senior Center is located in the center of Perry Senior Apartments, 13500 Ridge Road. They can be accessed using the central gate on the south side of the building. The Office on Ageing offers free assistance, including health insurance, medical paperwork, social services, Medicaid information, nursing homes, nursing home inspectors, food banks, the Salvation Army Service Unit and other programs. They also offer assistance with all government programs, including Golden Buckeye, HEAP, disability programs, homestead programs, subsidized housing, community development, etc. The Office also serves younger, disabled or disadvantaged residents. They are partners of the Royal Redeemer Church for the North Royalton Food Pantry Partnership. ..
