Centre County Office of Aging supports six seniors' centers located throughout Central County. Senior Center provides nutritious meals, social and recreational activities for 60 or more people, as well as a range of programs such as health checking, health and consumer education, creative arts, exercise and other special activities unique to individual centers. Each center is unique in terms of social activity and interests. Each center is staffed by a friendly Center Manager who takes care of programming for each center as well as the daily operation. Senior centers often work with a variety of local organizations, and also offer access to other community services. New participants are always welcome to participate. Contributions are to help maintain the centers, but are not necessary. People visiting the centers can be present as often or as little as they like.
