STEP Office of Aging offers easy access to services for people 6 years and older through eight senior community centers and two social services offices. The eight senior centers are active meeting places for senior citizens to stay in their communities. Senior Centers offer volunteering, friendship, games and activities, screening and health information, various forms of exercise, and healthy meals. Senior centers also serve their community through the delivery of Meals on Wheels, donations of handicrafts, and many other ways. STEP Office of Aging is working to allow older adults to stay in their own homes and homes. Information and referrals are available for many federal, state, and local programs. Employees help older people assess their abilities and needs, explore options, develop plans to make the best use of their abilities, and arrange for informal and formal support to meet their needs. Older adults are involved in the planning process and usually have a choice of the service provider. Staff can help older people who want to enter a personal care facility that will meet their needs and help those who live in an institution with a return home with support services. STEP Office of Aging prevents, investigates, and resolves abuse, neglect, and other situations that may endanger an older adult or their finances, whether they live in their own home, with others, or in a personal care facility. ..
