The Brown Bag Program provides supplemental bags of groceries low-income families and seniors throughout Tarrant County. Brown bag contents vary depending upon availability of items. A variety of foods are provided and include (actual content vary based on current donations): Fruits and Vegetables, Carbohydrates (i.e. Rice, Pasta, or Beans), Bread and Rolls, Protein (i.e., canned tuna, fish, or chicken), Canned Goods. To be eligible applicants must: Complete a HIM Application, Provide proof of total monthly income, Single: $1,151 or less, cash assets of $2,000 or less, Married: Combined income $2,161 and cash assets of $3,000 or less.
