Referrals are made to many types of services, including food, vocational services, English/literacy classes, furniture and behavioral health. Interfaith Works Connections also works with neighbors in financial crisis to provide a safety net and prevent evictions and utility cutoffs subject to funding availability. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Comprised of the Supported Living, Permanent Supportive Housing and Montgomery County Case Management Programs, the Psychiatric Rehabilitation programs of Cornerstone Montgomery provide support to individuals living outside of Cornerstone Montgomery's Residential Rehabilitation Program. Services are delivered in the community and depending on each individual's need, participants in our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program receive support with medication management, independent living skills training, benefits management and housing supports. Residential Crisis For individuals experiencing increased symptoms of a mental health disorder, Cornerstone Montgomery offers Residential Crisis Services. These services are community based, alternatives to inpatient hospitalization. Holiday Park is Montgomery County's largest senior center serving approximately 500-600 adults each day over the age of 55. The center is centrally located near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Connecticut Avenue in Wheaton. At Holiday Park we offer a variety of social and enrichment programs, including literature and writing classes, discussion groups, card and board games, and special interest seminars and trainings. Those interested in keeping up with today's technology can visit the computer lab that offers on-going training. On the health front, many fitness classes are offered in our exercise room. Most exercise classes, including aerobics, bone building, and yoga require pre-registration, but repeat on a 6-10 week cycle so that newcomers can quickly join our programs.
