The Stewartstown Senior Center served its first luncheon on March 25, 1974 under the Lutheran Social Services. The York County Area Agency on Aging took over in 1984 and encouraged centers to become independent. As of July 1, 2006, the YCAAA stopped funding our center .The center became incorporated on March 18, 1983 and a Board of Directors was formed. In 1984, the Stewartstown UM Church built an addition to their building on ground level, and the senior center moved into what is called Heritage Hall.
