Hours: Mon - Thurs 8:004:00; Fri 8:00-3:30. Low income individuals and families often cannot afford the cost of energy to heat their homes during the winter or cool their homes in the summer. CAPHMLC administers the LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) which assists eligible households with utility deposits and/or utility payments. Funds are paid directly to utility companies and vendors. Assistance may be received up to four times per year based on eligibility requirements. (light bill assistance). CAPHMLC also provides emergency assistance on a case by case basis, depending on funding and eligibility. Assistance may consist of food vouchers, utilities, rent, mortgage assistance, medical care, dental care, prescription medicine, bus tickets or fuels.
My daugter an grandchildren was turned away because she has recieved help once already an they said she had to be disabled if that was the case she could use a disability check to pay her utility bill don't you think...
I have a past due partial bill due at Athens utilities & another bill coming up due by January 26th 2020. I recently lost my job & lives in low income based housing. I have a 1 year old. They might disconnect it tomorrow or Friday if I do not find some way to pay them $86 I owe.
