The aim of the program for W omens, infants, and children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally sensitive pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children.

WIC offers additional nutritious foods, information on nutrition and breastfeeding, and referrals to other health and nutrition services.

WIC promotes and supports breastfeeding.
