Absolutely awful... The techs hand out meds in the morning and watch TV the rest of the day.... You get treated like it's not your home at all. So basically you pay rent and have no say in anything that goes on... House managers make up rules as they go and let certain people get away with anything. One tech in particular will hound you and put a target on your back and proceed to make your life miserable... Expectations are to make 5 meetings a week even with a job with or without a vehicle.... You're supposed to have a job but some people are allowed to lay around the house all day long. They're the ones who get treated like royalty bc they're able to make all the meetings bc they have all the time in the world on their hands... This is ok with the people that run the house but if you have a job and don't make all your meetings you get written up and aren't allowed to do anything... You can't stay out at all...so if you have kids this isn't a place for you but the techs will have their kids over running all over the place. They go thru your stuff and intimidate you into not writing grievances. People with less than 6 months clean time are running these houses. No experience in the field whatsoever. They are AA and NA that don't even go to meetings themselves but expect you to make 5 a week. I've been to a few transition houses and this was by far the absolute worst experience I've ever had. The people that run the house in Minquadale on Wildel Ave are joke. Counselors eat your food and leave dirty dishes in sinks and expect you to clean it up. Just all around awful people.
