Showers, Laundry, Clean Clothing, Work Clothing. The Men's Clothing Closet is located on the second floor of the Smith Building at First Presbyterian. It is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 3:00-5:00 p.m., providing homeless men with the opportunity to take a shower, shave, get clean clothing, and have their clothing washed. The closet also provides work clothing. Services offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3:00pm 5:00pm. Requirements for service: Homeless, Must be in line by 3.00pm, No Appointment required. Foot Care Ministry: The Foot Care Ministry is open on Wednesday afternoons from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Volunteers provide footbaths and foot care for homeless men after they have taken showers at the Clothing Closet. Service offered Wednesday ONLY 3:00 pm 5:00 pm. Food Pantry: The Venable Food Pantry is located on the second floor of the Smith Building at First Presbyterian and is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The pantry is stocked with food secured from the Atlanta Community Food Bank and donated by church and community members and local vendors. It provides emergency assistance to those in need as a result of illness, job loss, work reduction, and other circumstances. In a single year, approximately 131,000 pounds (nearly 62 tons) of food are distributed from the Venable Food Pantry. Services offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1:00 pm 3:00 pm. Requirements for service: No appointment required. Client must have proof of residence (such as lease, utility bill no cell phone bills please), picture ID and SS# for everyone in the household.
