About Aurora Community/Senior Center

Located on the corner of Main Street and 1st Avenue North, the Aurora Community/Senior Center was built in 1991 as a multiuse facility for the community. This historic replica of Auroras first train depot is recreated in both location and architecture, and has a welcoming presence on Auroras Main Street. It is home to the Aurora Senior Citizens Club, as well as community events, including PumpkinFest, Annual Community Meeting and Holiday Heritage Festival. The Community Center served as the hub for Auroras Centennial, which was held in 2003. At that time, a Pioneer Monument and Memorial Brick patio were constructed to commemorate the event.
