The Senior Center is owned and manged by the City of Vicksburg.
The center is a place where all seniors congregate in a safe and friendly environment to participate in activities and enjoy a good community.
Their activities include computer classes, crafts, art classes, sewing, piano, cooking demonstrations organized by Ameristar Casino and Rainbow Casino, social dance and line, games, bridge, dominoes, canasta, bingo and more.
And as always, everything is free.
Who said getting older must be boring?
They encourage all people over 50 to come to the center.
This is truly a special place for special people.
Exciting things are happening at the Senior Center.
Mission statement: "To provide services that promote well-being, independence, self-esteem and an overall positive image of aging".
Vicksburg is one of twelve certified Mississippi pension communities, certified by the State of Mississippi in January 1997.
The "certification" designation indicates that Vicksburg has all the amenities that retirees are looking for when making a relocation decision.
