Queens Community House's five senior centers offer culturally rich environments where seniors can engage with their peers, make new friends, enjoy a hot meal, stay physically active, learn new skills and explore new interests, and reciprocate through volunteering opportunities.
Each center provides a wide range of physical activities, including yoga, Zumba, ballroom dance, stretching, tai chi, chair aerobics, and ping pong, for seniors wanting to maintain their health.
They also offer support in the treatment of chronic diseases through free screening, health education workshops and nutritious meals.
The centers provide seniors with the opportunity to share existing skills and talents and develop new ones through a variety of arts, languages and special interests courses.
Case Management is available at all of their centers to provide information and referrals, housing assistance, and benefits enrollment assistance.
