Oxford House is a self-run, self-supported recovery house for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts in which shelter, food, case management, individual counseling and group support are provided. Funds might be available to cover the first month's rent and security deposit.
It’s lovely to know that the house I grew up in was converted to a halfway house for men recovering from addiction. I became a mental health and addiction recovery counselor myself, so it is even more special to me imagining my home which I loved as a child and young adult, now helping people get the help they need in order to live healthy, productive lives.
