The Marshall County Senior Citizens Center is haven for those seeking new friends and a healthy senior lifestyle.
The program was established in Marshall County by the late Lena Mae Pickens 50 years ago and has been a viable part of community life since its inception.
Continuing with its rich tradition, the center is free for all adults aged 55 and over.
The Senior Citizens Center also has a nutrition center and a home-delivered meal program.
The seniors citizens receives funds from the State of Tennessee and the federal government.
These funds are managed by the South Central Development District, based in Mt.
Pleasant, Tennessee.
The Senior Citizens Center also receives funds from the Marshall County government, the United Way, private donations and fundraisers.
The Nutrition Center offers cafeteria-style lunches at noon, Monday to Friday.
