Volunteers from America's Family Emergency Shelter offers individualized care and targeting to families facing homelessness.
The program offers safe, decent emergency shelter for families who become homeless due to a variety of factors such as eviction, domestic violence, mental illness, drug abuse, unemployment or underemployment, lack of affordable housing and lack of money management and/or life skills.
It is often a complex mixture of these factors that lead to homelessness.
Hello, my name is Shantell Masterson and my fiances name is Brandon Anderson, whom is a Louisville native. We lost our place back in June and have been homeless since. We have both been working and staying with family but recently lost our jobs over the holidays due to car trouble. It has now been 6 months since we have become homeless and we are no longer able to stay with family. We tried finding a place but got nowhere. Due to booking hotel rooms the past few weeks we no longer have the funds to afford another room let alone an apartment. We are both seeking work but have been unable to find anything just yet due to car trouble. We didn't know of resources which is how i found you all and any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated. We are just looking for a little good news..something to lift our spirits in this downward spiral we've been in.. again thank you and God bless!
